A 55-year-old female presented with sharp pain under his right heel for the past four months. Pain was worst first thing in the morning and after long periods of standing. He reported slight improvement during walking but discomfort returned after prolonged activity.
Clinical Background
The patient is a retail worker who spends most of the day standing. He has a history of mild plantar fascia tightness but no major injuries.
Symptoms
– Sharp heel pain, especially on first steps
– Tenderness under the heel
– Pain after prolonged standing
– Improved comfort with walking
– No swelling beyond mild localized tenderness
Clinical Findings
Examination revealed localized tenderness under the calcaneal tuberosity. Imaging confirmed a small inferior calcaneal spur. There were no joint restrictions.

Heel Spur Syndrome, specifically Inferior Calcaneal Spur with Heel Pain (based on localized pain, tenderness, imaging, and symptom pattern).
Management Plan
– Prescription of Custom Orthotics with heel cushioning

– Stretching of plantar fascia and calf muscles
